Brave (BAT) Desktop Users Can Now Use Gemini Exchange Widget to Trade Cryptocurrencies
Users of privacy-centric web browser Brave can now use the Gemini trading widget to buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies.
Brave Desktop Users Gain Access to Gemini Trading Widget
In an attempt to make it easier for individuals to trade cryptocurrencies, privacy-focused Internet browser Brave has now officially integrated Gemini crypto exchange’s trading widget into its desktop version.
This comes roughly a month after Brave inked a deal with Gemini exchange to integrate the latter’s crypto trading widget into the browser’s Nightly version.
The new integration enables users of the Brave desktop browser (version 1.13) to seamlessly engage with cryptocurrencies in a simple and secure manner.
The Gemini trading widget – also called the “Gemini card” – can be accessed from Brave browser’s New Tab page to trade any crypto asset listed on the Gemini exchange. At the same time, users can also view their Gemini account balances and access their deposit addresses without having to leave the browser.
At the time of writing, Gemini supports some of the leading cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap and acceptance across the globe, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Chainlink (LINK), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), among several others.
Custody Digital Assets in Gemini Creator Wallet
Along with the integration of the Gemini trading widget into the browser, Brave-verified content creators can now also custody their crypto assets in a Gemini Creator Wallet.
Essentially, this means that Brave creators can receive their Basic Attention Token (BAT) rewards directly into their Gemini Creator Wallet. Users also have the option to choose payments in any other fiat or crypto asset supported on the Gemini exchange.
To link with the Gemini Creator Wallet, users must first register or login to their creator account here. Next, they need to follow the prompts under “Wallet Services” to connect their Brave Creator account to Gemini. More can be learnt about the integration here.
It would seem Brave is steadily forging alliances with leading cryptocurrency exchanges to offer their users an in-browser crypto trading experience.
As previously reported by BTCManager, Brave had integrated the Binance trading widget to allow its more than 15 million users trade cryptocurrencies through the world’s largest exchange by reported trading volume.
