Dogecoin has been the most famous meme coin since its creation in 2013. Recently, one of its descendants has generated more trade volume over a 24-hour period than Dogecoin. Shiba Inu has a trading volume of almost $10 billion compared to Dogecoin’s $4.3 billion.
This has given hope to many meme coins on the market, Dogecoin has been the top dog for such a long time that that the best result other meme cryptocurrencies could aim for was second place.

This may act as a signal to other currencies, both new and established, that the top spot is not as solidified as many had perceived.
Dogecoin is yet to break the $1 mark, that so many cryptocurrencies aspire towards, and is now valued at less than half of its peak market price since release (At the time of writing, $0,2713).
