Enjin Blockchain-Based RPG “The Six Dragons” to Undergo Alpha Testing
According to a SludgeFeed article published on December 26, 2019, blockchain-based role-playing game (RPG) – The Six Dragons – is set to commence its early alpha testing in the coming week.
Blockchain-Based Gaming Coming of Age
Widely hailed as a silver bullet for a plethora of industries and ecosystems across the globe, blockchain technology has slowly and steadily morphed into one of the most fascinating emerging trends in the gaming industry.
Now, in a bid to leverage the emerging technology to offer a better, secure, and more thrilling gaming experience to players, BlockPegnio’s distributed ledger technology-powered (DLT) RPG, The Six Dragons, will reportedly begin its early alpha testing very shortly.
Notably, the RPG is built on the Enjin (ENJ) blockchain network. For the uninitiated, Enjin is a gaming-geared blockchain project that aims to power the gaming world with the myriad benefits of DLT. Interestingly enough, the Enjin “Unity” SDK (software development kit) powers the project’s gaming development platform – the Enjin Platform.
Reportedly, the game’s alpha version will be released in a total of five waves with each wave giving priority to a particular set of contributors and testers. The exact details of each wave are as follows:
- Wave 1: Available internally and to our Security testers
- Wave 2: Top-12 pre-sale Contributors + Selected Community Members
- Wave 3: Top 13–70 pre-sale Contributors + Special Founder Token (SFT) holders + Media Partners
- Wave 4: Rest of the pre-sale contributors
- Wave 5: Multiverse Founders’ Token holders (MFT)
Details of the Game
Per sources close to the matter, The Six Dragons allows gamers to participate in a huge virtual open world where they can freely explore, battle, farm, harvest, and craft more than 300 unique blockchain collectibles.
The BlockPegnio team stated:
“Most of the items in-game are decentralized, meaning that you truly own your inventory, and you can freely buy, sell or trade them with other players from different game universes.”
Similar to the vast majority of DLT-based games, The Six Dragons’ internal economy will largely be driven by item crafting. Notably, the RPG also has its own digital token dubbed TSDT that is pegged 1:1 to Enjin Coin. This setup will enable fee-less transactions for various in-game utilities including crafting.
As reported by BTCManager on December 12, 2019, Enjin (ENJ) had bagged a listing on Binance crypto exchange’s U.S. arm, Binance.US.
