IOST Partners up with JustCo to Debut the IOST Launchpad
According to an official announcement made by the IOST Foundation on September 17, IOST is partnering with JustCo, Asia’s leading coworking space provider in order to launch the IOST Launchpad, an initiative to boost the IOST decentralized ecosystem.
JustCo Becomes an IOST Node
The IOST Foundation revealed the IOST Launchpad in collaboration with JustCo, the only Asian co-working space provider that has a presence in key Asian cities which caters freelancers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small and large enterprises.
It is backed by several investors including French asset management firm Tikehau Capital Partners and Singapore-based Pinetree Capital Partners. Its expansion in South East Asia started in May 2018 with a $177 million dollars investment by Singaporean sovereign wealth fund, GIC which enabled JustCo to expand into other parts of Asia, including China, Korea, Japan, and Australia.
It is this vast physical presence that has interested the IOST Foundation. The partnership between JustCo’s offline presence and IOSTs blockchain ecosystem will allow community members, especially programmers, to benefit from a full-service launchpad in all major Asian cities.
According to the announcement, IOST and JustCo are already planning a series of events to democratize the technology towards the general public and spread its numerous benefits.
The IOST Launchpad
The goal of the initiative is to provide support to programmers and founders through physical locations in order to help their business growth.
According to the announcement, startups will be able to take advantage of a 360-degree offer ranging from technical support, business development or investments to marketing, networking and partnerships opportunities through the IOST ecosystem which counts more than 500 Partners spread across 30 cities.
The investment part looks the most attractive as IOST Foundation manages a $50 million investment fund for the IOST ecosystem. Furthermore, startups will have access to the IOST network that can count on the support of various institutions including Bluehill Foundation and Hashed Venture Labs.
This is the second hot announcement in September from the IOST project; as recently reported by BTCManager, the IOST Foundation announced a partnership with blockchain game publisher, INFUN, in order to foster the growth of the IOST ecosystem and launch a role-playing game on IOST later in October 2019.
