IOTA-Based Project IOT2TANGLE Launches Open-Source Hub for Interoperability
IOTA-based community IOT2TANGLE has today, October 9, 2020, released its latest open source development program called I2T Hub to help community members harness better features on the IOTA network.
An Open Source Hub
IOT2TANGLE provided details on how the I2T Hub will function in a well-detailed statement on its Medium page. I2T is developed as open-source repositories that enable community members to empower IoT systems on a wide range of devices.
It is expected that the HUB will enable hardware instruments such as Raspberry, Bosch XDK, CISS, ESP32, etc to broadcast data to IOTA’s Tangle protocol.
IOTA developers and enthusiasts can easily develop open-source software using the hub to create products that leverage the potentials of Tangle in their devices.
I2T is packed with a sensor stack that includes several features that can be tracked including, air, temperature, pressure, and humidity.
Furthermore, the sensors can analyze sound and light intensity with the developers emphasizing that the system itself will identify which sources of data are required for specific solutions.
The hub also comes with step-by-step guides that would make installation easy for IoT newbies and users can easily ship and install required devices and start experiments.
I2T also has a Streams Gateway that will run as a listener for every device sending data to it, as long as the I2T dataset’s structure is respected.
Depending on the devices, users can decide whether they run the Gateway on the device or at a Fog level. On devices with little capabilities, it will always be best to run the Streams Gateway at a Fog or Cloud level.
IOTA Ecosystem Expanding Rapidly
The IOTA ecosystem has continued to expand rapidly with the blockchain project experiencing new developments. IOTA recently announced the launch of IOTA Access, an open-source DLT framework for secure smart device access control.
The platform is designed to build policy-based control systems that would integrate pay-per-use functionalities effectively.
The decentralized framework has the aim of integrating decentralized access control in an efficient p2p environment that ensures that data and devices are secured.
The project which was designed in partnership with motor giants Jaguar is expected to bring more users to the IOTA Tangle network.
