New Order Inks Partnership with Outlier Ventures to Propel DeFi Adoption
Permissionless and community-driven decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for DeFi projects New Order has allied with Base Camp, a leading web3 accelerator by Outlier Ventures to launch more than 30 DeFi projects over the next two years.
New Order Partners with Base Camp
The partnership between New Order and Base Camp will help foster the multi-billion dollar DeFi landscape, the official announcement reads.
New Order will leverage its existing network of builders, investors, and smart contract developers to create next-gen DeFi applications that includes plugging into the metaverse – the convergence of online and offline worlds.
Notably, New Order’s DAO venture works closely with teams that align with its vision of a multi-chain DeFi industry that is machine intelligent and extends to emerging digital assets including NFTs.
Specifically, New Order’s DAO is centered on the belief that funding is no longer a hurdle to overcome for any DeFi project. Accordingly, New Order’s venture DAO offers an ecosystem-as-a-service that builds alongside DeFi teams via its community of like-minded developers.
Outlier Ventures Committed to Propelling Web3 Ecosystem
To date, Outlier Ventures has raised over $250 million in funding for web3 startups and is burning the midnight oil to develop an open metaverse where the online and offline worlds converge. It is important to ensure the new world is open to everyone and is built on top of public blockchains that allow seamless access to data for other applications.
New Order is the first Outlier Ventures-funded venture DAO.
Importantly, New Order and Outlier Ventures also plan to explore “MetaFi”, a term coined by Outlier Ventures that essentially means DeFi applied to Metaverse. A simple example of MetaFi is how NFTs are now being used as collateral for multi-million dollar loans.
Commenting on the development, Eden Dhaliwal, Founder, New Order, said:
“With Outlier’s industry leading Web3 accelerator and New Order’s DeFi ecosystem, our DeFi Base Camp will launch exciting projects that will bring new DeFi products and user experiences to Web3 communities, CeFi, metaverses and more.”
Similar sentiments were echoed by Jamie Burke, CEO, Outlier Ventures. He said:
“We have been investing in DeFi for several years but it requires a very nuanced service provision and ecosystem activation which requires its own dedicated Basecamp program. New Order’s venture DAO was able to bring that together in a scalable way, and together we can really define a whole new category of DeFi, MetaFi.”
