The Global Digital Exchanges Monitor (GDXM) Terminal has gone live. The launch was announced via the platform’s Medium account on May 27.

It is one of the most ambitious monitoring platforms in the entire cryptocurrency market. GDXM was first announced in February 2018 with a public beta release. With the live launch, the platform is now available for crypto traders to enjoy all of its intuitive features.

According to CoinMarketCap, there are over 1,600 cryptocurrency tokens in 11,000 markets contributing to a total market capitalization of $324 million.

The GDXM Terminal

Touted as the “Bloomberg” terminal of crypto, GDXM is designed to allow users to monitor the global cryptocurrency market conveniently. It is a web application that can be used to track important cryptocurrency trading indices across several different cryptocurrency exchanges.

The platform provides real-time information on cryptos sourced from exchange platforms all around the world.

The GDXM terminal is the brainchild of numbers technology. According to Nicola Farenga, the co-founder of the firm, the platform can monitor and provide real-time data on cryptos like bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash, litecoin, ripple, and dash.

Commenting during the beta launch, Farenga said:

“The supported exchanges are Binance, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Bittrex, Bitmex, Gdax, Gemini, Hitbtc, Kraken, and Poloniex.”

The terminal is designed to have a simple yet intuitive UI for both the desktop and mobile app client which ensures a rich user experience. There are four main sections in the terminal which are as follows:

Asset Overview

This feature provides a snapshot summary of a particular cryptocurrency. Some of the information displayed include market capitalization, average price, and percentage changes. Allowing the user to quickly see the real-time position of the selected crypto vis-à-vis the parameters listed above.

Information on these parameters is displayed in graphical form through different useful charts. The charts feature is a new update made to the beta version of the terminal released in February. According to the team, charts help to deliver information more quickly. The GDXM terminal also provides indicators like Fibonacci Retracement levels, Moving Averages, Mean Distributions, and Price Distributions.

Monitoring Table

The monitoring table gives users aggregated data about the significant cryptocurrency exchange platforms. Allowing traders to monitor and compare prices vis-à-vis trading volumes and bid/ask offers.

News remains an integral part of the investment process whether for mainstream or cryptocurrency assets. Events in the financial world shape investor sentiments and affect the general outlook of the market. Reports of regulatory crackdowns in countries like China and South Korea have caused massive tremors in the cryptocurrency market. The GDXM terminal provides news articles from reputable sources like Bloomberg, keeping users informed on the latest happenings in the cryptocurrency market.

Exchange Overview

The exchange overview feature provides information about the selected cryptocurrency exchange platform. To access this feature, the user clicks the name of the exchange service on the Monitoring Table tab to reveal a brief description of the platform. The GDXM terminal also provides trading volume charts which shows the market share for each cryptocurrency exchange platform.
